  • Transport & Travel

The journey will commence from Guwahati Railway Station at 5:00 AM on 10th February 2025, where all participants will travel together to Tawangchu Tides Camp. The scenic drive spans approximately 14 hours, winding through the lush valleys and mountain roads of Arunachal Pradesh. It is recommended participants arrive a day early so everyone can leave on time.

The organisers will provide transportation for both onward and return journeys. Comfortable vehicles will be arranged, with necessary rest stops and refreshments en route, making the long drive an enjoyable part of the adventure.

  • Accommodation

Accommodation will be provided within the Tawangchu Tides Camp, designed to balance adventure with essential comfort. Participants will stay in rooms or tents, arranged on a five/six person sharing basis.

The rooms are equipped with basic floor mats, mattresses, sheets for sleeping. Kayakers are requested to get their own sleeping bags for additional comfort.

There will be electricity in the camp and shared points in the rooms for charging your phones.

The site includes toilets in the rooms and outdoor dry pit toilets, both equipped with running water for convenience and hygiene. The setup ensures that all participants have access to clean, functional, and comfortable facilities throughout the championship.

  • Food & Refreshments

All meals (breakfast, lunch, and dinner) during the event will be provided by the organisers. Participants can look forward to nutritious and tasty meals.

To complement the main meals, evening snacks and hot beverages will be served daily, creating opportunities for participants to relax and bond after a day on the river.

Locals will be invited to put up food stalls for participants to get local snacks and drinks.

  • Permits & Documentation

As Tawang lies within a protected area, foreign visitors must possess valid Protected Area Permits (PAP) and Restricted Area Permits (RAP) and Indian Nationals require Inner Line Permits. The organisers will handle the complete process of obtaining these permits for all registered participants, ensuring a hassle-free entry and stay.

Participants will need to submit the required identification details in advance (and in time) for documentation purposes.
